Studio Five is known as one of the best sounding rooms ever constructed. Originally a mix room where some of the biggest hits by Nirvana, R.E.M. and Muse were mixed, the studio underwent extensive renovation in 2013 and has since catered to the créme de la créme of the industry. With the largest control room in the building, natural lighting, and a vast isolation booth, Studio Five also offers clients the biggest perk of all: exclusive access to our infamous VIP Lounge.
Studio Five features a 64 Channel Solid State Logic SL 4064 G+ with Ultimation, VU Metering and features a customized center section that houses a 26” Apple Cinema Display, Custom Augsperger 2 X 15 mains with TAD components and 18” JBL subwoofers all driven by Bryston amps, a 64 I/O AVID HDX Pro Tools system, Conventional stereo and Hear Technologies cue systems, a choice of Yamaha NS10s, ATC 25s and Pro Acs for nearfield monitors. Studer 827 & Ampex ATR102 (1/4 inch & 1/2 inch) Analog recorders are available on request.
The VIP Lounge offers 65” Sharp Aquos HD flat-screen television with satellite DIRECTV, DVD player, state-of-the-art Wilson audio system, pool table, private restroom & massage suite, free WiFi, and a stunning outdoor terrace with private cabana.

Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York
The first mix project to christen Studio Five also marked Nirvana’s first release following the death of Kurt Cobain on April 5, 1994. Debuting at number one, the Los Angeles Times reviewed it as an intimate folk rock performance which “deserves a place on the rock TV history shelf alongside the informal, sit-down section of Elvis Presley’s epic comeback special in 1968”. It also won a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album at the 38th Annual Grammy Awards.

Celebrating 20 years of creative collaboration, WuTang Clan reunited in Studio Five in 2013. Despite previous disputes between members, the group was able to reconcile over vegan junk food and find a shared direction together, heading towards “A Better Tomorrow.” Their final release as an act peaked at Number 3 on the Billboard R&B charts and received mostly positive reviews.
Justin Bieber Purpose
For his fourth studio album, the Canadian crooner focused on creating an inspirational, uplifting album. The result was an instant hit, with dance pop and EDM collaborations with artists such as Skrillex and Diplo helping launch Bieber’s sixth Number One album. “Purpose” was nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards in 2017.
